Vizy in brief
Vizy is a free digital business card for freelancers and independent professionals in Switzerland. You get a personal address, vizy.me/your-name, and a QR code. Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. Sign-up is open and free, no credit card.
- Will it stay free?
- No paid plan is planned. If Vizy ever grows to the point where hosting has to be paid for, the contribution would be around one franc a month, to cover the traffic and nothing more.
- Do I need to install an app?
- No, neither you nor the person receiving your card. Everything happens in the browser.
- What language does my card appear in?
- Your text stays as you wrote it. The buttons, "Add to contacts" or "Show QR", follow the language of the phone opening the card: French, German, Italian or English.
- Can I add my photo?
- Yes. It is cropped in your browser before upload, shown round or square, in colour or black and white, and included in the contact file your visitors save.
- Does my card show up on Google?
- Yes, if you want it to: every published card is offered to search engines, with your name and your role. A switch in your member area takes it out of the index in one click.
- Who can see my card?
- Anyone who has the address or scans the code, with no account and no login. Publish only what you would put on a paper card.
- Can I see who opened my card?
- You see how many times it was opened and how many times the contact was saved. Not who: we do not track your visitors, and they have nothing to accept.
- Does it work with an NFC card?
- Yes. Write your card's address onto any NFC chip with a free app, and the card opens when a phone comes close. The QR code does the same without buying anything.
- What if I change jobs?
- The address doesn't change, just reopen the link to see the current version.
- Where is my data?
- On a single server in Germany, at Hetzner, a country whose level of data protection Switzerland recognises. No analytics tools, no advertising, no resellers. The details are in the privacy policy.
- Can I delete everything?
- Yes, from your account at any time. Your card and your account are erased.
